Best Practices for Clubs wishing to apply for Grants:

  • have Incorporation Papers, such as Letters Patent, scanned and available to attach to applications
  • have most recent year's Financial Statements available to attach if requested
  • have a list of project goals created in advance to match against potential funding opportunities
  • pay particular attention to the application requirements and timelines

Sask Lotteries Community Grant Program

The Sask Lotteries Community Grant Program assists non-profit, volunteer-led community organizations developing impactful and innovative sport, culture and recreation programs that meet the needs of the local community. The program is a partnership involving the Government of Saskatchewan, Sask Sport, SaskCulture and the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association. Every year, these community grants help fund diverse programs and activities, such as youth beading programs, taekwondo clubs, music camps, hockey tournaments, Air Cadets, senior fitness classes, curling, swimming clubs and paint nights, to name just a few.

Hailifax Community Grants Program

The Program provides annual cash grants to registered non-profit organizations and charities located throughout the Halifax region. There are two types of grants: a project grant of up to $5,000 OR a capital grant of up to $25,000. Applicants should review the Program Guidebook prior to submitting an application. First time applicants are encouraged to contact staff prior to submitting an application.
